How to get....
From the airport to city centre:
Ghent does not have its own major commercial airport. The closest and most convenient airport is Brussels Airport (BRU). The airport railway station is located directly below the terminal, with regular trains to Gent-Sint-Pieters, Ghent’s main railway station. The journey takes approximately 50–60 minutes, depending on the connection. From Gent-Sint-Pieters, the city centre can be reached by tram or bus.
To the conference venue:
The conference will take place at UFO (Universiteitsforum), Ghent University, located at Sint-Pietersnieuwstraat 33–35, 9000 Ghent. From Gent-Sint-Pieters station, take tram 1 in the direction of Wondelgem/Evergem and get off at Verlorenkost. From there, UFO is approximately a 5–10-minute walk. Alternatively, bus 8 towards Gent Zuid can be taken from the station; get off at Bagattenstraat, which is close to the venue.
From the main train station to the conference venue:
From Gent-Sint-Pieters station, take tram 1 towards Wondelgem/Evergem and get off at Verlorenkost. From the tram stop, walk towards Sint-Pietersnieuwstraat; the UFO building is approximately 5–10 minutes away on foot. The total journey takes around 15–20 minutes, depending on the connection and walking time.
